What WebUser is, and what's coming

WebUser is a small publication with a simple aim: to help ordinary people get the most from the internet.

You use the web every day. You’re comfortable with technology, but you’re not a developer, and lately the ground has been moving. AI turned up in every tool at work. The hardware market got confusing. Your files, your photos, and your calendar quietly moved into services you don’t fully understand and pay more for every year.

Most of what’s written about all this is either aimed at engineers or drowning in hype. We’re trying to do something else: write plainly, honestly, and usefully, for the person who just wants to make good decisions without a huge amount of effort.

We’ll cover the things that matter. AI for humans — how to actually use the tools for real work. Practical hardware — what you need, not what the marketing says. Demystifying cloud — where your stuff lives and what you own. And every Friday, This week — a short read on what actually mattered.

A few promises. We don’t track you — no cookies, no analytics, no ads, no accounts. Open your browser’s dev tools and check: nothing here phones home. And when we get something wrong, we’ll fix it fast and say so on our corrections page.

That’s it for now. The rest is coming.
